Note 5 at Acts 19:11: The Greek word that is translated "special" here is "tuchon" meaning "not common or ordinary." These were miracles that there is no record of others performing. However, Paul's own words to the Galatians show that the working of miracles was not according to an individuals goodness but rather his faith (Gal. 3:5). Therefore, the reason that these miracles were not performed by others was that they didn't believe for it.
