And when he met with us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.

Note 2 at Ac 20:14: Mitylene was the capital city of the island of Lesbos, located in the Aegean Sea just off the coast of Asia (see note 3 at Ac 16:6). It was located on the southeast part of the island and had a magnificent harbor. Today, it is still the capital of Lesbos and is known as Mytilene.
