And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him,

Note 16 at Acts 20:37: This verse specifically mentions that they all wept, hugged, and kissed Paul, even those who were going to speak perverse things after his departure and draw disciples away after themselves (v. 30). This further illustrates that deception and error can happen to people who were once sincere (see note 10 at Acts 20:30, p. ???).
