Acts 21:39
Previous Verse
Acts 21:39
Next Verse

But Paul said, I am a man [which am] a Jew of Tarsus, [a city] in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.

Note 8 at Acts 21:39: Most men would have been enraged at the false accusations and the beating that they had received from the mob to such a degree that all they would have wanted to do was justify themselves or vent their anger. It is to Paul's credit that he used this opportunity to preach Jesus to the very people who were trying to kill him.
