I will hear thee, said he, when thine accusers are also come. And he commanded him to be kept in Herod's judgment hall.
Note 7 at Ac 23:35: This hall was called by the same name as the judgment hall where Christ was brought before Pilate at His trial (Mt 27:27 and Joh 18:28). However, this judgment hall was in Caesarea instead of Jerusalem. Both the palaces in Jerusalem and Caesarea were built by Herod the Great (see note 3 at Lu 3:1) and therefore had similar designs.
