But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
Note 1 at Acts 24:14: Remember that Tertullus had tried to change the charges against Paul from a religious nature to a political nature (see note 2 at Acts 24:5, p. ???). Here Paul is seeking to refute that by insisting that this dispute is purely over religious issues.
