Acts 26:24
Next Verse

And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.

Note 4 at Acts 26:24: Festus had heard Paul before (Acts 25:7-8), but it was just the accusations of the Jews about Paul breaking their customs. This was the first time Festus had really heard Paul speak of his faith in a risen Christ. He was overwhelmed. He thought Paul had gone crazy. Festus certainly thought it was incredible that anyone should be raised from the dead (v. 8).
