Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.
Note 6 at Ac 26:32: It appears that if Paul had just held out a little longer, King Agrippa would have freed him. But since he had appealed to Caesar, this was no longer possible. However, if Festus hadn't wanted him to travel to Jerusalem to be tried in front of the Jews (Ac 25:9-10), Paul might never have appeared in front of King Agrippa II.
