Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.
Note 6 at Acts 26:32: It looks as if Paul had held out just a little while longer that King Agrippa would have freed him. Since he had appealed to Caesar, this was no longer possible. However, since Festus wanted him to travel to Jerusalem to be tried in front of the Jews (Acts 25:9-10), it may have never come to pass that Paul would have appeared in front of King Agrippa II.
