And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee.
Note 2 at Ac 28:21: The Jews of Jerusalem had pursued the prosecution of Paul for over two years (see note 8 at Ac 24:27), even to other cities. It is interesting that they had not sent letters to the leaders of the Jewish community in Rome or sent their own envoy to pursue it further.
