Colossians 2:3
Previous Verse
Colossians 2:3
Next Verse

In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Note 18 at Col. 2:3: The whom that is being referred to here is Christ. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Since we are in Him (2 Cor. 5:17) and He is in us (Rom. 8:9; 1 Jn. 4:15), then all the "wisdom and knowledge" of God is in us. It's in our born-again (see note 2 at Jn. 3:3, p. 92) spirit. It doesn't have to just stay there. We can draw it out (see note 5 at 1 Cor. 14:2, p. 943).

Note 19 at Col. 2:3: Notice that Paul didn't just say that wisdom and knowledge are in Christ but he intentionally used the word "TREASURES of wisdom and knowledge." The wisdom and knowledge of Christ are infinite. He created the universe through His wisdom and knowledge and continues to keep it intact with the same. God's wisdom is so complete that He is never at a loss as to what to do or how to fix the problem. We can draw on that wisdom as we abide in Christ.
