Colossians 4:17
Previous Verse
Colossians 4:17
Next Verse

And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.

Note 16 at Col. 4:17: Archippus is thought by some to be the son of Philemon (Phile. 2). Archippus is admonished by Paul to fulfill the ministry which he had received of the Lord. It is unclear whether this was a warning to Archippus or just an exhortation not to grow weary in what he was already doing. Archippus is only mentioned twice, by name, in scripture (here; Phile. 2). The name meant "horse-ruler."
