And hath put all [things] under his feet, and gave him [to be] the head over all [things] to the church,
Note 18 at Eph. 1:22: Paul also used this analogy of the church being the body of Christ in his letter to the Corinthians (1 Cor. 12:12-27; 15:25-28). He now expounds on this by placing Christ as the head and the church as the body. This is emphasizing the Lordship of Christ over the church just as the head dictates and controls the physical body.
When anything is placed under the feet of a person, then every single part of that person's body is positioned above it. This illustrates that this resurrection power is not just a reality for Christ, our Head, but every member of Christ's body has "raising from the dead" power and authority within them too.
