See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Note 24 at Eph. 5:15: "Circumspect" comes from a word that means "to look around, and take heed." The NIV translates verses 15-16 as, "Be very careful, then, how you live - not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil." The point that is being stressed is that we need to be alert. We are the only light that will come into the darkness of some people's lives. We need to make the most of each day.
