Galatians 2:17
Next Verse

But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, [is] therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

Note 10 at Gal. 2:17: Verse 17 has proven difficult to interpret for many people. There is no consensus among scholars as to what Paul is saying. He may be addressing a common question that arises any time grace is taught. "What about those who profess to have a revelation of grace and yet they are living in sin?" Paul's answer would be that it isn't Christ that is leading them to sin. Their transgression is all their own (v. 18).
