Note 5 at Joh 2:5: Mary's charge to the servants showed her complete faith in Jesus to do as she asked despite His mild rebuke. This quality of humbleness along with perseverance was also present in the Syrophenician woman in Mr 7:24-30 whom Jesus said had great faith (Mt 15:28). Humility is a prerequisite for faith (see note 1 at Lu 9:46 and note 22 at Joh 5:44).
