John 3:18
Previous Verse
John 3:18
Next Verse

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Note 11 at Joh 3:18: Those who do not believe in the name of the only begotten Son of God are already under the condemnation of God that comes through the Old Testament (Joh 5:45). Jesus not only saved us from the wrath to come (Mt 3:7; Ro 5:9; 1Th 5:9; Re 6:17, and 11:18), but He also delivered us from the present wrath (Joh 3:36, Ro 4:15, and 2Co 3:9; see note 4 at Joh 3:36); that is, the curse of the Old Testament Law (Ga 3:13).
