John 5:30
Previous Verse
John 5:30
Next Verse

I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

Note 16 at Jn. 5:30: The reason Jesus was a faithful or just judge was that He was not seeking to exalt Himself but was totally committed and submitted to the One who sent Him (Mt. 26:39). This is always a characteristic to look for when seeking a faithful person for any field of endeavor (Phil. 2:20-21). That is what God is looking for in us (Phil. 2:5).
