John 6:1
Previous Verse
John 6:1
Next Verse

After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is [the sea] of Tiberias.

Note 1 at Joh 6:1: There is a time lapse of nearly one full year between John's last account of Jesus in Joh 5 and this instance. In Joh 6, John gave some details of events that took place on one day and mentioned Jesus ministering in Galilee, but then he was silent again until the last six months of Jesus' earthly ministry, over one year away.

Therefore, the Gospel of John can be outlined chronologically as follows:
IIntroduction and one year of Jesus' ministry - Joh 1-5
IIOne day in Galilee - Joh 6
IIILast six months of ministry - Joh 7-21
