And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.

Note 2 at Joh 6:18: It is interesting to notice that Jesus didn't rebuke the wind and the water in this case, as He had done before (Lu 8:24). He still overcame the problem, but He did it in a different way. Once we have experienced the Lord's power manifested in a situation, there is a temptation to always use the same battle plan. Joshua didn't do that. He had a God-inspired plan on how to conquer Jericho, and it worked beautifully (Jos 5:13-6:27), yet he never used it again. We need to always be sensitive to the Lord and follow His instructions.
