Note 8 at Joh 7:30: This was just one of many instances where Jesus manifested this supernatural power over those who would persecute Him. Truly, people could not have any power at all against Jesus unless it was given to them from above (Joh 19:11). This makes Jesus' sacrifice even more amazing when you realize that no one took His life from Him (Mt 26:53 and Joh 10:17-18); He laid it down of Himself.
