John 8:19
Previous Verse
John 8:19
Next Verse

Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

Note 3 at Joh 8:19: Knowing Jesus is knowing the Father. John recorded this truth on more than one occasion (Joh 5:23 and 14:7-11) to establish that Jesus is God (see Life for Today Study Bible Notes, first three paragraphs in Introduction to John, with Joh 20:30-31). Anyone who says you can have relationship with the Father without having relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ (i.e., Jehovah's Witnesses, Unification Church, Unity Church, Muslims, and others), is teaching error (Joh 5:23, 14:6; 1Jo 2:23; and 2Jo 9) and has the spirit of antichrist (1Jo 4:3 with 2Jo 7-9).
