John 8:19
Previous Verse
John 8:19
Next Verse

Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

Note 3 at Jn. 8:19: Knowing Jesus is knowing the Father. John records this truth on more than one occasion (Jn. 5:23; 14:7- 11) to establish that Jesus is God (see first three paragraphs in Introduction to the Gospel of John, p. xx with Jn. 20:30-31). Anyone who says you can have relationship with the Father without having relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ (i.e. Jehovah's Witnesses, Unification Church, Unity churches, Muslims, and others), is teaching error (Jn. 5:23; 14:6; 1 Jn. 2:23; 2 Jn. 9) and has the spirit of antichrist (1 Jn. 4:3 with 2 Jn. 7-9).
