John 8:56
Previous Verse
John 8:56
Next Verse

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw [it], and was glad.

Note 21 at Joh 8:56: Jesus was referring to the day when people would be justified by putting faith in God and not in their own works. Abraham had this truth revealed to him (Ro 4:13), and he believed it and was himself justified by faith (Ro 4:3-4 and 9).
