John 9:3
Previous Verse
John 9:3
Next Verse

Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Note 3 at Jn. 9:3: In light of Romans 3:23, it is certain that both this man and his parents were sinners. Jesus is simply stating that it was not their personal sins which had caused this blindness (see note 8 at Jn. 5:14, p. 96). The Translator's New Testament reads, "This was not due either to his or his parents' sins."
