Note 10 at Joh 9:32: This was the fifth person whom Jesus had healed who was blind (see note 1 at Mr 8:22). The only Old Testament example of blindness being healed was in 2Ki 6:18-20 where the Lord smote the entire Syrian army with blindness and then opened their eyes. (This was not a blessing but rather a curse, see note 2 at Joh 9:2.) This was unprecedented in history, and yet the Jewish rulers didn't believe Jesus was of God.
