John 11:41
Previous Verse
John 11:41
Next Verse

Then they took away the stone [from the place] where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up [his] eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

Note 19 at Jn. 11:41: There is no record of Jesus speaking forth a prayer to His Father prior to this. It is certainly possible that He did. He could also be referring to His groaning in the spirit mentioned in verses 33 and 38. As explained in note 16 at verse 33, above, groaning in the spirit is prayer.
