John 12:2
Previous Verse
John 12:2
Next Verse

There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.

Note 1 at Jn. 12:2: In another instance, which took place just a few months prior to this (see placement of "Martha serves; Mary receives" on chronological chart - p. vii), Martha had been corrected by Jesus for being "distracted by the care" of serving (see ref. g at Lk. 10:40, p. 255). Again in this verse, we see Martha serving and Mary worshipping. It is not clear if Martha had straightened out her priorities yet, but it is possible that she had and was now able to serve the Lord in the proper way.
