Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's [son], which should betray him,
Note 3 at Jn. 12:4: This verse says that Judas Iscariot was the one who made the objection about this expensive perfume being used on Jesus while Matthew 26:8 says it was the disciples (plural) and Mark 14:4 says, "there were some." There is no contradiction here. Judas Iscariot was the leader of the criticism of Mary's gift (Jn. 12:5) while the other disciples picked it up quickly (Mt. 26:8; Mk. 14:4).
