Note 5 at Joh 12:13: By compiling all of the writers' accounts of what the multitudes were saying, we have this record: "Hosanna to the Son of David" (Mt 21:9); "Blessed be the King" (Lu 19:38); "Blessed is the King of Israel" (Joh 12:13); "Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord" (Mt 21:9 and Mr 11:9); "Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord" (Mr 11:10); "Hosanna in the highest" (Mt 21:9 and Mr 11:10); and "peace in heaven, and glory in the highest" (Lu 19:38).
