The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
Note 8 at Joh 12:19: At this moment, it certainly appeared that the world had gone after Jesus. However, less than one week later, many of these same people joined in with the Pharisees in demanding the death of Jesus (Mt 27:20 and Mr 15:11-15).
