John 12:26
Previous Verse
John 12:26
Next Verse

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will [my] Father honour.

Note 4 at Jn. 12:26: Jesus had just spoken of denying Himself through offering His life as a ransom for the world (see note 3 at Jn. 12:25, above). Therefore, taken in context, Jesus is speaking of following His example of laying down His life for others. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" (Jn. 15:13).
