John 14:19
Previous Verse
John 14:19
Next Verse

Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

Note 31 at Jn. 14:19: This is a reference to His crucifixion which was only a matter of a few hours away. From that time on, the world (the unbelievers) would not be able to perceive Him because they could not see Him (v. 17). However, His followers would be able to fellowship with Him through the ministry of the Holy Spirit even though they could not physically see Him.

Note 32 at Jn. 14:19: This is a promise from Jesus that just as His body would be resurrected, so ours will be also.
