Note 84 at Jn. 16:14: This is the second time in this discourse that Jesus has said that the Holy Spirit always testifies of or glorifies Jesus (Jn. 15:26). This is one way to discern if someone or some doctrine is inspired by the Holy Spirit. John later drew on this truth as a test for discerning false prophets (1 Jn. 4:2-3).
