And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
Note 95 at Joh 17:5: This is a very clear reference to the deity of Christ. He existed before the world was formed (see note 4 at Mr 12:29, note 3 at Joh 5:18, note 8 at Joh 5:23, and note 4 at Joh 10:34).
