Previous Verse
John 17:15
Next Verse

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

Note 101 at Jn. 17:15: If Jesus prayed for us to be kept from the evil in this world, then we can be kept. Never buy the lie that you cannot resist evil, for "there hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it" (1 Cor. 10:13).
