And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound [weight].
Note 2 at Jn. 19:39: The hundred pound weight spoken of here is equivalent to 75 pounds as we know it. We do not know how much these spices cost per pound, but it is certain that the total price was thousands of dollars.
