And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound [weight].
Note 2 at Joh 19:39: The hundred pound weight spoken of here is equivalent to seventy-five pounds as we know it. We do not know how much these spices cost per pound, but it is certain that the total price was thousands of dollars.
