This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
Note 18 at Joh 21:24: This verse clearly establishes this "disciple whom Jesus loved" as the writer of this Gospel. As explained in the Life for Today Study Bible Notes, Introduction to John, this disciple was the Apostle John.
