This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
Note 18 at Jn. 21:24: This verse clearly establishes this "disciple whom Jesus loved" as the writer of this gospel. As explained in the Introduction to the Gospel of John p. xx, this disciple is the apostle John.
