Previous Verse
Luke 1:41
Next Verse

And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

Note 2 at Lu 1:41: Since the babe leaped in her womb, it is probable that this was when the prophecy of Lu 1:15 was fulfilled and that John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Ghost. Although others are spoken of as being separated unto God from their mothers' wombs (Jdg 13:5 and Ga 1:15), John was the only one who was filled with the Holy Ghost from birth.
