And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
Note 3 at Lk. 2:46: As revealed in verse 52, Jesus increased in wisdom. The fact that Jesus was listening to as well as teaching these doctors of the law reflects that.
