And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
Note 5 at Lk. 2:51: At twelve years of age, Jesus had a clear understanding of His Father's business, which Joseph and Mary did not (v. 50). However, He submitted Himself to them through obedience, graphically illustrating Ephesians 6:1-3.
