Note 7 at Lk. 4:9: Luke lists the temptations of Jesus in a different order than Matthew does. This would forbid any doctrine being formed from these passages about the sequence in which Satan tempts us and may be the reason the Holy Ghost inspired these men to record these temptations in different orders. The order of these temptations is not important to understanding why the Lord recorded this incident.
