Note 1 at Lk. 13:23: This is a valid question that still impacts us today. Many people who have just come to the Lord think that everyone will be just as excited about Jesus as they are. They think that everyone will get saved if they just hear about how good God is, but Jesus is saying that won't be so. In Matthew 7:13-14 (a parallel scripture), Jesus makes it clear that many more would enter the broad way that leads to destruction than the narrow way that leads to life.
