And he spake a parable unto them [to this end], that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Note 1 at Lk. 18:1: This verse is the positive side to a negative truth that if we don't pray we will wind up fainting. Compare with Matthew 26:41 and Hebrews 12:3.
