Luke 19:39
Next Verse

And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

Note 1 at Lu 19:39: There is nothing wrong with praising God. It is encouraged and commanded thousands of times in the Scriptures. The reason the Pharisees were so upset was because they didn't accept Jesus as God. Indeed, it would have been blasphemy for Jesus to accept worship if He wasn't God (see note 1 at Mt 8:2). This is another confirmation of the deity of Christ (see note 4 at Joh 5:19, note 5 at Joh 5:20, note 6 at Joh 5:21, note 7 at Joh 5:22, and note 8 at Joh 5:23).
