Luke 19:45
Next Verse

And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;

Note 1 at Lu 19:45: It is important to remember that these people were buying and selling animals for sacrifice in the temple. They also were changing money for the people who came from foreign lands so that they could pay the temple tax and buy their sacrifices. These merchants were corrupt, but the real fault was that they were conducting their business in the temple area. Jesus made it clear that His Father's house was to be for prayer.

Also notice that Jesus cast out those who bought as well as those who sold. Just because the "establishment" has sanctioned some practice doesn't absolve us of the responsibility of judging the situation for ourselves.
