For whether [is] greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? [is] not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.
Note 3 at Lk. 22:27: Jesus, of course, had the superior authority over His disciples, and yet, He had humbled Himself and served them. He was instructing them to follow His example.
