Previous Verse
Luke 24:5
Next Verse

And as they were afraid, and bowed down [their] faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

Note 3 at Lu 24:5: Why were these women seeking a living Jesus in a place where dead people were? It was because they weren't expecting to find Jesus alive.

Likewise, people today miss finding Jesus and the help He has to give because either they are seeking Him in dead religion or they really don't believe He can save them. If they approach the Lord with that attitude, they won't find Him.

Jesus is alive from the dead! When we seek Him, we need to believe that we aren't going to find a dead, powerless God. Remembering this will cause us to stop our "pity parties" that we call prayer and seek the Lord in faith, believing that we are going to receive.
