Note 3 at Lu 24:14: Notice that these disciples were talking about the resurrection, but they were still sad (Lu 24:17). This is a very clear illustration of Heb 4:2, which says, "but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it." Keeping our minds stayed on the things of God only profits us if we mix those thoughts with faith.
