Luke 24:18
Previous Verse
Luke 24:18
Next Verse

And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?

Note 5 at Lk. 24:18: This is possibly the same Cleopas as mentioned in John 19:25. If so this would be the husband of one of the Mary's (see note 11 at Mk. 15:40, p. 478) that was present at the crucifixion and who was also one of the women who came to the tomb early this morning. That would make this Cleopas the father of one of the apostles of Jesus, James the Less (see note 3 at Mk. 1:19, p. 65).
