Previous Verse
Luke 24:30
Next Verse

And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed [it], and brake, and gave to them.

Note 10 at Lu 24:30: It is possible that this breaking of bread was done in the same manner as the Last Supper in the upper room (Mt 26:26-29, Mr 14:22-25, and Lu 22:19-20), and that was what caused these disciples to recognize Jesus. If so, that would further suggest that one of these disciples was an apostle who was present at the Last Supper (see note 12 at Lu 24:34).
