Note 1 at Lk. 24:36: By comparing these accounts, we can see that Jesus appeared to these disciples on the first day of His resurrection, at the same time that the two disciples who had seen Him on the road to Emmaus were telling the others what had happened to them. Jesus just appeared in the room although the doors were locked securely because His disciples feared the Jews.
